The organization hosted its 60th Birthday Extravaganza to honor decades of helping people in recovery and to raise funds for client programs. The event aimed to bring in $100,000 to support ongoing needs for clients. There was food, games, music, and an auction. “So for 60 years, we’ve been blessed to be able to reintegrate people in recovery with their communities and giving them a chance of hope and to live a life of wellness,” said Lindsay Gozzi-Theobald, president and CEO of the East House. East House was the first community residence of its kind in New York, providing support for people in recovery since 1966. Organizers said they were excited to see what the next 60 years would bring.
